As dawn breaks on a glorious morning in McLean, it’s easy to look forward to all that awaits you. This particular Saturday morning begins with a brisk morning jog along the Potomac River. The clear sky makes this morning’s view of the riverfront nothing short of stunning.

After going out to the riverfront for your morning run, it’s time to come back for your other morning routine: coffee! Fortunately, your local Greenberry’s is close by and never disappoints. Indulge with a Salted Caramel Nitro Cold Brew, and be sure to pick up the favorite brews of the other coffee drinkers at home.

After enjoying your morning coffee with the rest of the family and getting ready for the day, it’s time to explore the area for some great local shopping, a delicious bit to eat and a little culture as well.

Your first stop is the Ball-Sellers House. Visiting this local historic attraction is the perfect way to bring history to life. This farmhouse was built in the 1750s and is the oldest structure in Arlington County. The house has been restored to its colonial-era condition and is designated a Virginia State Historical Landmark and on the National Register of Historic Sites.

After you’ve had your fill of history, it’s time to meet up with friends for some lunch before hitting the shops. With everyone having a taste for some authentic Thai food, you all meet at Esaan for a delicious lunch that will fuel your afternoon filled with fun, shopping and treating yourself.

After lunch, you head out to Tysons Corner Center to check out the three main anchor stores of the mall: Bloomingdales, Macy’s and Nordstrom. Along the way, you share stories and laughs as you pick up the perfect new outfit.

After a quick drive home, you take one step out of the car and smell the hot coals of your backyard grill, getting ready for tonight’s barbecue with the neighbors. McLean has so many close-knit neighborhoods, and yours is no exception. After a grand feast off the grill, you sit back with the neighbors, sip a cocktail and wonder if it could possibly get any better than this.

What a day in McLean.
