Valentine’s Day is the second busiest night for dining out in the U.S. (fun fact: Mother’s Day is first), and for good reason, it’s the perfect day to show that special someone how much they mean to you. There’s only one problem with dining out on Valentine’s Day:

Which restaurant to choose!

Since this meal is most definitely a special occasion, you want to make sure you pick the ideal restaurant. With so many great dining options in the McLean and Tysons Corner area, we put together a list of our favorite spots for a memorable meal. And with a few weeks until Valentine’s Day, you can hopefully still get a reservation at most of these places.

Cafe Renaissance-Vienna

For over a generation, Cafe Renaissance has brought an intimate and charming dining experience true to the Parisian tradition. The culinary team is dedicated to keeping the lost art of the old world alive. There aren’t many places like Cafe Renaissance anymore. And that’s a shame.

Can’t Miss Dish: Jarrets d’agneau braisés au vin rouge

Chima Steakhouse-Tysons

Chima Steakhouse is an elegant Brazilian restaurant offering a unique style of service called “Rodizio,” which means a rotation of authentic Gauchos brings a variety of beef, lamb, ribs, sausage, pork, chicken and fish directly to the table.

Can’t Miss Dish: Black Angus Picanha with Chimichurri & Grilled Jalapenos (Part of the Rodizio)

Clarity-Vienna

This fine-dining restaurant lets you enjoy its imaginative dishes in a wide array of settings, including the main dining room that faces the open exhibition kitchen, cozy private rooms, open patio, full-service bar or chef’s counter where you are right in the middle of all the action.

Can’t Miss Dish: Seared Butter Nantucket Scallops

Eddie V’s-McLean

Providing a fresh and stylish atmosphere, you cannot help but feel special the moment you enter this classy bistro. The ample effort that goes into creating their fine seafood and steaks is matched in the way the dishes are exquisitely plated.

Can’t Miss Dish: Parmesan Sole

Entyse-McLean

Located in the Ritz Carlton, this bistro’s menu inspiration comes from around the globe (Italy, Singapore, Thailand, Canada and St. Thomas, to be specific). While you may not associate these cuisines as ideal pairings, your taste buds will reap the rewards of Entyse’s creative flavor combinations.

Can’t Miss Dish: Crab Pad Thai

Reserve -Vienna

Reserve pays homage to the established wine culture of the Tower Club (its location) while offering the ideal backdrop for a highly anticipated date night like Valentine’s Day. This upscale eatery’s menu features modern American fare with an emphasis on local ingredients and seasonality.

Can’t Miss Dish: Domestic Rack of Ribs

Wren-Tysons

While pretty much everything you can order at this fusion izakaya, the real show stopper is the OMAKASE, Wren’s highly exclusive tasting experience. Tucked away in a six-seat semi-private bar area, diners are immersed in an intimate experience as they watch Executive Sous Chef, Hobin Kim, prepare an 18-20 course culinary journey.

Can’t Miss Dish: The OMAKASE

No matter which one of these great restaurants you select, you can expect an outstanding culinary experience.
